Bruce Mozert: Underwater Photography

 BRUCE MOZERT

In the 1950's Bruce Mozert captured beautiful underwater images, with out using anything digital.

Bruce Mozert began to do the unthinkable in the 1950's and capture candid moments of people underwater.

Mozert strived to create an underwater camera to capture the clarity of the Silver Springs.

Once he made a successful housing for the camera to take picture under water, he continued taking pictures of mostly women underwater for 45 years.

His images included everyday activities such as tanning, track, mowing, talking on the phone and etc.

His images are extremely influential because they are very difficult to capture and especially since they are all analog there has to be the right amount of light and they cannot move a lot.

Mozert's work was ahead of his time especially with the technology he came up with.

I believe that Mozert's work was the start of underwater cameras and technology.
